Hiking Trails

The Asterousia Mountains are famous for their diverse trails, some of which are ideal for hiking, climbing, horseback riding, cycling, and other activities.

They are located either in the mountainous massif or by the coastal side of the mountain and some of them lead to large or smaller beaches, secluded bays, monasteries, or caves. Some even involve traversing through gorges and showing the hikers locations of inconceivable natural beauty.

One of the most famous trails of Asterousia is the one leading to the “holy” summit of Kofinas that starts at Kapetaniana. There is also the possibility of organized group trekking.
